US Army promotes Nigerian man to Major

A Nigerian man, Kingsley Ogbuji, has recently been promoted to the rank of Major in the US Army.

On Monday, July 1, 2024, Kingsley shared the news on Instagram, expressing his gratitude with the words, “To God be the glory, I am amazed.”

Lieutenant General Bagle, who presided over the ceremony, praised Kingsley, saying, “Congratulations on your selection and promotion to Major. It was an honor to preside over your ceremony, and I appreciate the opportunity. At this new level, more will be expected of you, but you will be prepared. Continue to strive for excellence.”

In addition to his military service, Ogbuji volunteers for UNICEF USA and has earned a Master of Arts degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma.
