(BREAKING) Fuel price hike: Labour leaders hold emergency meeting with FG

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) is in high-level talks with the Federal Government to tackle pressing national issues, particularly the rising cost of petrol and its economic impact.

Platinumpost reports that the meeting is taking place at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume.

Present at the discussions are top government officials, including the National Security Adviser, the Labour Minister, Finance Minister, Information Minister, Minister of State for Petroleum, and Minister of Gas, as well as representatives from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited.

The meeting seeks to address the mounting concerns of labor unions and Nigerian citizens regarding the adverse effects of petrol price hikes on the nation’s economy and the everyday lives of its people.
