BREAKING: Tinubu approves Pro-Chancellor swap at 2 Federal Universities
In a bid to promote diversity and strengthen national unity within Nigeria’s university administration, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the immediate swap of pro-chancellors and chairmen of governing councils at two federal universities.
According to a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, previously the Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University, Lokoja, has been reassigned to the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti.
Conversely, Engineer Kayode Ojo, who held the same position at Oye-Ekiti, will now take on the role at Lokoja.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the immediate swap of the Pro-Chancellors and Chairmen of the Governing Councils for the Federal University Oye-Ekiti and Federal University Lokoja.

“In this reshuffling, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, currently serving as the Pro-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, will take over at Federal University Oye-Ekiti.
“Engineer Kayode Ojo, who previously held a similar position at Oye-Ekiti, will assume the role in Lokoja.
“This strategic change is part of President Tinubu’s initiative to foster diversity and national cohesion in the management of the country’s universities”, the statement said.
The leadership adjustments at the two institutions are expected to promote collaborative growth and reflect the administration’s broader efforts to strengthen governance in federal universities.
